Archery kinda weak? Or am I bad

last time I played this game I did archery, back in world 9, in which it was super powerful and I expected incoming nerfs.

But right now it feels kind of weak? I just finished the hunter credo and I still am capped by my arrow quality, which is around 30, I have to rely on the unarmed and mc fighters to bring back good quality bones to make decent arrows, or our miners to bring back decent stones to sling / make arrows. I can't seem to do anything myself. To be a decent archer you need perception/marksmanship dexterity/survival (to make arrows) carpentry, (because chances are your carpenters aren't archers as well) unarmed combat (optional but very helpful). Even then, I'm still doing the same damage as the unarmed fighters at the start of the world.

I can hunt very efficiently (except for my last post about arrows getting stuck in cliffs) but I am always left in the dust in terms of quality compared to our unarmed fighters who are capped by their survival.

Archery bad. Go full UA/MC instead.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.

W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.

Archer is bad, its a neat idea, but sadly it just doesn't really work.

Its intended as an opener I guess, or a way to kill small animals like rabbits or ducks without them running away too fast.

Problem is it costs way too many resources and it gimps the quality of anything you'd get out of it to the point of being pointless.

IMO, archery should be converted into a combat deck, except unlike UA or MC, the attacks you perform are done at the end of your combat turn, not at the beginning, and keep the current shoot mechanic as an 'ambush' tactic.

this sounds like a really neat idea, it would need a lot of tweaking but would remove the biggest hindrance to archery - which is how inconsistent it is

Make animals hunted with bow capped by surv or some wierd surv*1.2 and it should be fine

We've had this conversation multiple times here. I'm not sure anyone is opposed to it, but the implementation is.... slow to come, if it is coming.

I've heard MM is OP at really later stages but sucky early. You need ranger bow and the stats to go with it then you can do serious damage.
