Quests done right

At current quests are strong, so strong that many people are not doing anything but quests. Complaints have been made and lots of people want some change but don't want quests gone.

So My logic

Getting ANY reward that offers nothing to the world is bad. Let me explain this a bit more.

Haven and hearth is 100% community game, the towns get built up, markets are created, flesh out the world and creates the environment we all live and play in.

These investments are used to create, trade and use all the items we need.

Questing however takes a lot of that requirement away. This comes down to 2 factors

Free LP = all investment to create good curios are pointless.

Hunger Reduction = Infinite stat gains, the biggest complaint and reason for many of the major changes was to stop this spiral. HELL even salt was nerfed and that was garbage in comparison.

Remove these rewards and questing becomes more about increasing your area's produce, adding to the world and community rather than super buffing single characters.
I think that the questing system is a nice idea and should be an option. Removing these also removes the feeling that you need to do them or rather the requirement.

The new system

Setting up a tier system would be a good way to manage it.

Dice rolls X-X (this selects the tier Weighted against higher tiers e.g. 99-100 = tier 1 1-50 = tier 3)

Tier 1

+1 QL to Tree type in the region
+1 QL to Clay type in the region
+1 QL to wells Inthe region

Tier 2
+1 QL to Regional Resource type In the region
+1 QL to Animal type In the region
Receive Guilding
Receive a random regional resource item e.g. Salt, Ice

Tier 3
Heal 1 random Wound
+1000-5000 Energy
Gives Random Item previously given to quest giver

Longer quests would add additional rolls i.e.

Example 1

Greet x
Return to x

is 1 roll to see tier and 1 roll to see what reward in that tier

Example 2

Greet x
Catch Rabbit
Return to x

This would give 2 rolls to Either the tier or the reward within the tIer. It will always keep the Highest.

This would give a lot more control and flexibility to the system, you can add change and adjust the rewards.

This solution takes into account the length and access it would offer to new players that join even at a later date,
