Another Hunting thread, implement tracking fo real??

As the other hunting threads read, running after a fleeing animal endlessly is annoying. Especially now when its only really possible on horseback which everyone dont have yet. My own solution: Code the blood puddles a fleeing animal leaves behind as a crime. That way we could peace with a wounded animal when it starts running, find a puddle of blood, track it like it were a crime. Get a general cone of the animals whereabout and find the other puddle until finally finding the animal. then engage combat again. This wouldnt change much for those who use UA and MC for hunting since some animals will just resort to fleeing again once you engage combat. But for the archers like myself, this would make hunting engaging and more immersive. ( i also feel like marksmanship should have that role of everyday hunting)

Just imagine shooting a animal from a cliff a couple of times, its starts fleeing, leaves tracks, you track it down, able to fire an arrow without engaging combat, its starts fleeing. You peace with it and starts tracking again.

I get that the little puddles are already meant as a means of tracking, but they leave it too seldom and when they do it gives no indication of where the animal went next since its able to do a 180° as soon as a tree or cliff is in their way.

thank you, really enjoying w11 so far. :)
Animal behavior could certainly improve. Beatings will continue until it does. - jorb, January 2018.
