Horses & wound infection

Shouldn't you be immune to wound infection, while riding a horse through a swamp?

Shouldn't a horse be slowed just as badly as you when wading through a swamp?

I fear going down the realism tree for horses in swamps isn't something we all want.

Horses would not do verywell in swampy muddy areas. The moose is the only hafen animal that would fair well in a swamp. half of Canada turns into a swamp when the ground melts.

a horse would just get stuck in the mud. and probably die

And do you think back of a horse splashing through the swamp is the most hygienic place to be?
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.

Simple answer: No:

It's not just the mud splashing. Most swampy places are very humid, which is terrible for wound healing, and the insects carry disease and parasites.

You're referring to global warming, right? ¦]

Back to subject, horses in swamps aren't much faster than a person on foot. They're actually much more likely to be injured than even a person, namely broken legs. The ground in any swamp or marsh is very unstable, and while they do well enough carrying a load on soft ground, they don't do well on unstable ground without a load. With a load, you might as well just shoot your horse before you start, cause you're more likely to have to put it down before the end of the journey.

Been suggested before please use search function!!!!!

And this... Just because we don't have it on the list stickied here doesn't mean you shouldn't do at least a brief search.
