Golden Crops

Postby GamingRAM » Thu Feb 14, 2019 1:25 am

In order to help keep Wild Windsown Weed (WWW for short) a little more relevant mid to late game, I'd like to introduce the idea of an incredibly rare crop known as Golden Crops.

When drying WWW there is an astronomically small chance of getting Golden Seed variations of their normal form (or the crop itself like an Onion). When planted it will grow into a Golden Crop, which does NOT return seeds when harvested.
Golden Crops give notably more FEP compared to their normal counterparts, consumes less Hunger %, can be used as either pebbles or nuggets of gold, or just studied.

That sounds like an interesting idea, to make farming a bit less boring. Kinda like gems made mining a bit more rewarding.
Not sure about using it as gold substitute, but it could boots stats considerably, or maybe work like lotus bloom and/or salt, to boost one stat up and/or remove some hunger?
Or golden crops could boost Q of other crops of same type around them by a few points? To make your fields look extra shiny.
