- equip it as a cosmetic, no inventory involved
- right clicking it on the floor equips right away
- auto-use entering water (maybe add a small step like cliff climbing)
- auto-equip leaving water
- variable materials and sketch image

Equipping it as cosmetic with actual usage makes it very, strong and mandatory to have. No.

Why no? Not that op, just very usefull. Mb it shouldn't be equipped as cosmetic but other suggestions are good. Features that allows us to play game with less clicks are always good for overall fun we get from game.

this would provide to much of an advantage when fleeing and I don't want to have to lose a backpack slot because carrying a boat is the new meta

problem is dealing with inventory prevents it being auto-usable

auto-use when entering deep water would make it awesome like horses and ropes

if swimming is off, just click water and it will animate a little and be on board, then clicking on land would put it in slot again

The word "coracle" is an English spelling of the original Welsh cwrwgl

Auto use when entering/leaving water would be a nice thing imo. Variable mats/sketches I'm sure are on the todo eventually. Right clicking when it's on the floor = auto equip might be a bit much.

But I'm not sure you understand what the word cosmetic means in games...

"equip as a cosmetic"(or a store hat), meaning you don't change inventory , which is required for auto-usability

besides characters look cool in coracles, with variable mats and sketch images it would become a trade mark in haven, instead nobody uses the thing

Cosmetics by definition can't have any actual impact on gameplay. What you're asking for is a new inventory slot specifically for the coracle.

I'd been meaning to build one of these for ages, I see what you mean by it not being very useable in its current state. Because it takes up the backpack slot there's almost no reason to equip it since you lose nearly as many slots as you gain. Maybe a better compromise would be for it to take up the cape slot? I'd definitely consider using it for the loss of a cape slot, not for the loss of the backpack slot though.

As to the equip on pickup, it should just be one of the Rclick options.
