Quell the Beast Hearth Magic

Can we actually make this Hearth Magic useful, by lowering it's XP cost from 5000 to 500-1000?
Like seriously it's the most useless Hearth Magic due to it's too high XP cost.

Ya I'm and I can say that it's more useful than QtB.

Yeah there are many things in this game that are unbalanced, making them useless.
Bunch of curios, hearth magics...
I would like to know if devs keep track of how many times these hearth magics/curios are used per day on average?
How high are these numbers? Do people actually study shitty expensive curios and use magics like quell the beast?

They alluded to having metrics on food, so I'd say it's safe to say they're tracking that kind of thing as well.

As for curios being useless, they can't all be good. The useless ones being forced on you in credos is a good way to give them use imo.

How about double the price and change it so that it tames animals for you instantly instead of having to beat them up.

Kindle is actually pretty useful though, nobody wants to sit there rubbing two sticks together just for them to burn out before lighting a fire.

And it's cheap. I'm sitting at a ridiculous amount of XP just two weeks into this world. I don't spend a lot of frivolous magic, but Kindle is one I use once or twice a day to get that first fire going. (torches after that.)

Quell should be half the cost, though. Nothing more frustrating than getting aggrod by something while out on your forager and you can't run fast enough or fight it off. If I'm in serious trouble wound-wise, I'll spend that 5k. Not sure it's worth it to avoid a concussion and a few minor wounds.

I think this kindle spell is just XP tax on the lazy or foolish.

it is xp tax on those who dont stockpile their cat golds!

also +1 to cutting the xp cost on this hearth magic. super useless as it stands unless its a million years in to the world and you've got 6 digits of xp.
