Make hartshorn salve cheaper

When compared to other medicine, it is way more effort to make. 0.5 L of linseed oil, which is a lot. Antlers from not one, not two, but THREE deers? That is a lot of antlers for one lotion that can treat one wound!
I think it should be made cheaper, for example, reduce hartshorn and linseen oil requirement, or make it provide multiple uses instead of one.

tbh im down with reducing the hartshorn cost/increasing the yield of crafting it, not the linseed requirement. that's trivial.

It kinda sucks having to deal with all these wounds because flax seeds for many aren't in surplus. On the contrary, deer aren't that difficult to hunt so there isn't a dramatic issue with the antlers.

the situation is actually opposite, there is a bunch of flax when you farm it but having to find 3 deers, kill them, skin them, butcher them, light the fire under cauldron and wait so long is too much to make 1 wound disappear, I think that giving the item multiple uses (5?) is a good idea

I do. In 2 different parts of the world, I heard and experienced that there was only 5 flax seeds per 100/200/300 WWW, so Imagine it actually can be a lot for a week or so.


As for idea, shubla produced something useful, wowie. +1 for more usages but not cheaper cost.

In early game you don't have that much seeds to use for some medicines when you must expand your fields.
But I agree with rest of your post.

Its a jar of salve, A jar. Nobody uses an entire bottle of lotion to beat their meat with. unless its an airline safe bottle.

i say the jar of salve should last through 5 uses.

the same goes for soap. Modern soap disolves fairly quick. ye olde time soap you get from a farmers market is rock hard and lasts quite a long time its sturdy enough you can wrap a cloth around and scrub laundry with

soap should last at least 10 uses in game.
