I figured I should've mentioned that I PICKED and BOILED them after the crash, then PICKED and BOILED more, 14 hours later.

Seem to be the right thing to do for normal playing players.
Need some myself for a Credo quest, but so far I have not encountered a single one (ever, I think).

global pool benefit more bots than normal players, imagine collecting 5 - 10 stockpiles of mussels after a server restart and then get 1 pearl or even 0 of all this 5-10 stockpiles.

w3/w5 - somewhere :)
w6 - Shamanizma, LS Dragons Reach
w7 - LS Old Monkey, LS Sakhalin
w8/11 - hermit
w12 - North Star
W13 - Monke Lem Plot and LS Midgard

If you guys intend to keep global pools consider making them scale with player population. Or don't, people need the occasional reminder that low player count is a feature

From the World 13 announcement thread:

shubla wrote:I hope that you do something to pools as well.
I played quite a bit in W12 but only found the first edelweß couple of weeks ago, but then I found a LOT of them.
Pools are too harsh they should scale more with the playercount.
I also remember that in early world I found plenty of glimmers but soon, none.

edels have a rather high PER*EXP threshold, perhaps maybe you didn't happen to have the stats required to see them until recently?
hope this helped!

I haven't raised my perc nor exp in a long time, so theres no chance on that. Quite the opposite if something, as I have worse gildings on my current clothes than before.
Lack of glimmer in early world was quite terrible, slowly stopped visiting caves altogether because I just couldn't find any, even though in the early days there were plenty of it available.

I can confirm Shubla's observation that Glimmermoss was easy to find at the start of the world but soon started to spawn a lot less. There was a cave which spawned a lot of them which only three players including me had access to, and at first I could get consistently get 1-3 Glimmermoss per visit but some time later I'd be lucky to find even a single one when I visited. (It was blocked off on the inside with a palisade, so there weren't any external parties foraging them.)

If the system is intended to harm botters and make it more fair for non-botters, it's currently doing the opposite.

Just nuke this whole concept. most hated mechanic since fated curios. If you, the devs, feel that some curios are studied way too much or that some foraged materials are way too important, just turn down the spawn rates, nerf the LP/hour values... something. Just get rid of the pools.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
