Verdens Ende,
the island of Tjøme, Vestfold, Norway

Ancient lighthouse built of rocks along Oslo Fjord in Norway. The basket was filled with coal and lit for light.

Shit it even looks like something that would be in haven

Lighthouse could require constant refueling for the light to work. Some mix of linseed oil for example

Bump. I think this would be really useful.

Vassteel1 wrote:So from the discussion in discord on a Purposed Lighthouse

A light house could serve as the starting point for an ocean route. (like the start point of a road)
Inbetween the lighthouses would be Buoys connecting one lighthouse to another. the owner of the lighthouse could generate an item allowing you to connect your ocean rout to their light house. thus allowing automated travel between them

Does not allow fast travel just automated pathing like following a road on land.

to be honest i think this is a really good idea.

Fast travel over the sea would be nice imo. As things are sailing is just boring.

Don't like the implication of deep ocean being buildable. Somewhat skeptical.

I mean, typically, light houses aren’t built in the middle of the ocean. Like. I think they require, like, dirt and rock and stuff for a foundation. Right?

these would be built on land, the floating sealane bouys /w anchor would just be dropped into the ocean.

again these wouldn't allow for fast travel across the oceans but a path for the ship to automatically path along.

Could have it where it’s a follow option and boats take less damage as they are following the markers.

But what about the lighthouse having a radius that would increase fishing nets and lobster traps effectiveness!
