Stitch patch healing rate

Postby kris_hole » Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:23 pm

So a cruel incision which can be treated with Gauze, Stitch Patch or Rootfill.

I decided i'd treat it with the more expensive treatment i could make, a Q40-something stitch patch. Why does this heal so slowly with -10 agi, perc and cha?

The gauze would have healed the wound much faster had i just used a couple of gauzes but no, now i'm stuck with this catastrophically shitty treatment that i can't remove that will take the rest of the world to heal. in 14 hours its healed 1 point of the wound. We need a way of removing stupid treatments that we've already applied so we can apply alternative ones. equally stitch patch should not be this shit.

Stitch patch heals slowly in general because it heals wounds that couldn't really be healed any other way at the time it was introduced.

It does seem odd that it doesn't have variable healing when it can be used for lesser wounds.

Probably this thread have a right point, healing rate must depend on wound rather than medicine.

Gauze is so much cheaper and fewer penalties, too. One wool vs a cloth, nugget, and bone glue. Downside: you lose your 1R slot for equipment.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Yes, please! We really need this, and optionally a confirm button too!

The exact same thing can happen if you apply a Waybroad to something that you could have applied a Honey Waybound to. Waybroad heals insanely slow compared to the Honey Waybound. Killing the character healed the wound considerably faster than the actual 'treatment' would have.

Of course, this will apply additional ''torn bandage'' wound.
