the older the fire, the cooler it looks

or, keep those braziers alive until the end of the world!

could be a very slow change of color, maybe even different fire animations to unlock

as the world gets older devs could add new animations and colors

players could recognize how old a base is just by the fire looks

That is very specific. What made you think of that?

It’s a neat idea I would love to see some different lighting effects as part of it as well.

I almost feel like this would be more appropriate for the village idol/claim stick rather than firepits specifically. Intriguing idea.

I was thinking similar thing, though I am not sure value of deciding age of village.
