Treaties and Aliances

Let us make treaty parchments.
if two lawspeakers have parchments in inventory and interact with each other they can write treaty agreement.
it works for a week or month
breaking it cost authority
it can be non pvp treat
or can add aliances groups that work similar to villagers priviledges

Would be an interesting way to give a "mass memorize/colouring" to each faction. Just having them named as "VillageName + Number" and a colour assigned by the treaty.

Just spitballing. The idea of adding an extra toggle to attack people you're treatied with is the best you'd get otherwise.

sorry to hijack, but i would love a Eve-Online kind of relation management.
There would be bascially 3 levels of relations : Neutral, Friend, Ennemy

Each village could add another village and set standings for all the members, automatically.
Would eliminate the hassle of hearthsecrets lists and other stuff.

I imagine this as an item that a lawspeaker with active village can craft, and then this item can be used on another village idol. The craftable item might include (role-play wise) presentation names of all villagers, which then would be automatically added as memorized people (but not kinned) to all villagers, with "[Village_Name]" after the name. That'll probably need special colors just for such purpose, so permissions don't get accidentally screwed.

If I am recalling correctly, I think jorb have said in past that he is hesitant to codify any social relation within game mechanisms, because he is skeptical that any mechanisms provided will be robust enough to encapsulate complexity of social relations.

lets be honest, he just wants to see us suffer :D

On another note, i can see some backstabbing happening like a character atacking someone they shouldnt just so his vill loses authority.

by non pvp treaty i mean that village members cant attack allied village.
only lawspeaker(or someone with priviledges) can break treaty
and only village that break it need to pay authority
