Is it possible? (Colorizing)

Postby CaddoPuma » Wed Mar 13, 2019 5:58 pm

So with the current system if I want a 2 tone look on a 3tone object (let's use a grave as an example), and I put in enough of color one for the primary, then enough color 2 for the secondary, if I want color 3 to be the same as color one, putting in more color one will make the entire piece color one.

So if I want a grave cairn with an olivine headstone, apettite cover, and olivine rocks, I dont know of any way to make this happen. Is it possible to change the colorizing system so that one can apply a specific material to a specific "zone" so that I can have my green and glowing blue grave?

For example, we know when you hold the material in your hand and hover over a zone of the construction sign, it will highlight that zone on the "ghost object" in the color of that material. Maybe doing so can also open a flower menu <apply here> <nevermind>. [edit] Or maybe hovering just highlights it, but clicking on the highlighted zone opens the flower menu [/edit]

I'm very familiar with the way the ratio system works. and as I said, unless there is something I don't know, there is no way to make color 1 and 3 the same with color 2 different. I'm not at all familiar with how sketches work, as I am unemployed and have been for 3 years. I'll be happy to support the devs by spending money on this game when I have money to spend...unless Jorb and Loftar come at me with the same attitude you just did. If you can't help, you don't have to be insulting and condescending, you can be silent.

Some objects have 3 colours for a single material. Please make it so Colour 1 can be the same as Colour 3, with Colour 2 being different
This could be done with a flower menu when right clicking the material in the build menu

There isn't a way to have colors 1 and 3 be the same outside of a sketch. You might be able to trade ingame items for one.

I spend an embarrassing amount on sketch book pages tbh, so I would love for there to be a way to have 1 and 3 mats the same colour if desired, esp when constructing towers. :)

You weren't rude at all. Thank you for helping to clarify my suggestion
