Fundamental Change to the Game

Fundamental Change to the Game

Postby Nexit » Thu Mar 14, 2019 2:05 am

Ok ok this game is really groggy and boring. It pretty much is a normal game that the devs decided to instead have you put 4x the amount of time and effort into.
So here's what's gotta happen (realistically for W12).

Make palisades hand basable
Debuff walls and claims
But then also,
Increase character progression (nerf satiations)
Make pretty much everything faster

Something like this will actually make the game not a complex cookie clicker simulator. Starting over shouldn't necessarily mean the end of everything and attacking other players and villages should be a fundamental part of the game rather than being forced to sit at a computer for ages and in general not worth it.

I rest my case

Not meaning this as a personal attack, but fuck anyone who thinks going back to that and screwing over every casual player is a good idea. Casual raiding is for rust, not for haven. It sucked back when it was implemented for everyone except the raiders.

Make pretty much everything faster

How does this fix anything? Everyone ends up with an extra 0 on their stats.
Lucky: haven is so quirky
Lucky: can be so ugly, can be so heartwarming
Sevenless: it is life

We have a discussion thread for everyone one of those points. None of it has been acted upon because of reasons of sanity. I'll say that when it comes to food, I don't see any major changes being made to it until the next reset.

We had the largest start ever because some of these things no longer exist. If you think any of it is coming back in the way it used to be, I'm sorry, but this is no longer that game, and won't be again.

You're free to go play on the Legacy server as long as it remains running. All those things still exist there.

And as far as "speed things up," account verification and subscribing come with a cumulative "convenience bonus" that speeds up most actions in the game such as farming, cutting trees, etc. See the store and patch notes for specific details.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

better pvp be boring than "botting"

game has to grow towards world building, controlled objects, custom buildings, water... maybe some procedural magic in plants and trees
