Dead Players become nidbanes

Ok so heres my thought.

If you die you can either be inherited or you can become a nidbane. If you become a nidbane you can float but cant interact with anything. But you can be summoned to fight and you get to be the person that fights whoever the person summoned you to fight for.

nidbanes are useless enough without my summoned nidbane being a troll or bad who won't fight or can't fight.

make it so you can specifically summon a specific nidbane (character) or pc

While i don't like the idea of them fighting very much, the idea of being able to play as a ghost when you're dead does sound kind of cool. Something along the lines of only being able to do it as long as your body hasn't decomposed. It allows you to look around at your surroundings somewhat, and get some bearings of where you died so you can attempt to reclaim your things

Ultima Online, ghost scouting. We've seen this before.
Sköldpaddan, gurbibal master, drunken hunter, the thief of Constantinopol, he who never died of man`s hand, son of Severin, grandson of Yozz, Yozzik, Wengdalf. Also an owl.

P.S. More nice hats please!

Easily combated by not allowing the ghost to move faster than crawl speed, and no more than 30 tiles from its body.

Well, what if you could be able to play as a ghost whenever you want but you would be also limited in how far you could move away from the place where you died? Add a few ghost-specific sound effects and it might be cool. Not sure how cool and is it worth the effort or not though...

Edit: Maybe make it so that only not buried hearthlings can roam as ghost?
