wild chickens q10

Why are pigs and sheeps ql10 when you tame them, but you can just go and take ql 80 chickens to your coop?

I think that wild chicken should be q10 or then alternatively, tamed animals should have varying qualities.

Well, there is that difference, but more effort for worse result sounds a bit counter-intuitive.

I'd argue that the main reason would be that starting with q100 milk is a bit too fast. Chicken OTOH don't affect the economy to the same extent and don't naturally spawn with as high qualities as tamable animals. I also suspect that q80 in OP is out of the arse number (unless we are talking about "just go and pick it from your neighbour's coop"). :)

+ you could say that about every single crop (WWW have quality too - unfair!) and about every plant that fits into gardening pot.
Wild animals have q too, so you can get better hide than others . . not to mention ores differ. This world need some equality ASAP

But why tamed animals dont have quality while chickens have?
There is no sense in it.
Either both should be always q10 or then both should not.

One could argue that animals should have their (possibly scaled down) quality multiplier applied to a q10 base (instead of the base quality of the animal) when tamed successfully. This would give the incentive to get a good one to tame instead of a random one.

Not sure how that should work. We changed it to be analogous to how rabbits work. Fine with that for now, at least.
