In a thread I saw about it, they mentioned leeching and sand-fleeing was how it was being done. I swear I read a thread recently where loftar alluded to not wanting to prevent leeching, but I'll accept the ass pants if I'm wrong about the mechanics without doing sufficient research.

Someone is doing it somehow, and not just through a lucky/perfectly calculated 90%hhp knockdown.

People walk around without full HHP and die to cleaves. Or take a few hits then a cleave and die from that. It's not sand fleas and leeches. Leeches take long enough to tick that the person could easily wake up and take them off.

Have high constitution
Eat heart containers
Armor
Get strider and max inventory space
Carry more water than your attacker
Learn to run

Yeah, crutches-advices. This is a collection of rather abstract half-measures, which do not guarantee the desired result.

Your safety shouldn't be guaranteed.
You can greatly decrease the chance of dying though.

True? Many times you can die before getting a strider, a high constitution and silver. Quite often, several players suddenly attack (and they may also have a strider credo).

With the same success, you can advise just to become a top player.

But you will not overtake the horse. Be riding? May scare a horse or throw a rider, etc. In other words: the advice is obvious but it does not help, just change the tactics of attack.

I've made arguments against that concept, but what bugs me most is the impression of safety.

You don't need to be a top player to complete ant dungeons.
The whole idea is to get better at the game. The more knowledge and skill you have the higher chance of your survival.
You could also learn when raider types play. Or make friends with them.

If you truly are a very bad player then the best bet is just to make alts for different tasks to reduce the loss.

Nope, you just need to be the worst, second worst, third worst, fourth worst and fifth worst and you're set to go.
