simple solution, make swamps around all local resources and quest givers - still can be walled in but will require MUCH more effort

Or even more simpler this:

Also worth noting that while OP picture has clearly intentionally walled-off quest giver, people can unknowingly wall off quest givers when constructing a large new base on area that they haven't quested extensively in yet.
The most actively maintained Haven and Hearth Wiki (Not guaranteed to be up-to-date with all w14 changes.)

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Slightly different issue, as this wouldn't be as intentional compared to the walled and locked questgivers this topic mainly complains about.

Nevertheless the spirit should move to free lands in case it is (getting) claimed.

Bump this thread to suggest at least emoting at a questgiver counting as a "visited". Travelling over to a different continent and boating inland for ages to find a questgiver walled is quite discouraging. And I'd just started getting into credos with more gusto too, but between random islands in the middle of the ocean with unreasonably low access or walled off questgivers it's becoming more tedious than enjoyable.

Yeah Interacting from a distance is cool and easy and solves it. People that do this to grief are the fucking worst. Something should be done imo.

Yeah this.
People don't wall to grief, they wall to protect.
But regardless this would fix it. As long as it's in view distance it should allow greet.

Walling to protect isnt problem, problem is that in many cases walls are used for griefing and its makes people to stop from questing, slowing down credos progress etc.

24,-100; 33,-103; 23,-97; 24,-98, 35,-105; 39,-110
