A Dressing Table in the starting area

In every other game you would expect to be able to customize your character during chargen and play a nice pretty girly game of dressup before you begin proper. I was very surprised to find out that you can't change appearances when you first make your character and yet can do so later on once you acquire the resources to build a dressing table.

I know that you are trying to make something different from everybody else, but there is a reason why this particular thing is standard

You mean the tiny pond that acts as a dressing table just past the gendered river that provides you with a body?

The game does nothing to guide you to it. the wiki says nothing about it in the "character creation" article The wiki does talk about it but it could benefit from its own section. It is all too easy to miss a pool of water as opposed to piece of furniture next to the wizard which would stand out better in that area

It would mislead people into believing there is a gear, since You're chosing your appearance, not clothes. It's okay, You just didn't were curious enough to check out that pool out there.

The dressing table doesn't give me gear by design. I'm not sure how I would be misled.
There was nothing to draw my attention to the pool gffdkljsfsdklkl
