Rebellion against a realm

Players should be able to opt out of giving the kingdom they're in any authority. Doing this would mean they'd lose access to the kingdom's buffs, but at least they wouldn't be forced to help their enemies.

You can kind of do this by founding your own realm. I'm not sure it should be a lot easier than that.

Not with the way cairns currently work. Fighting for a kingdom right now requires planting alts everywhere and palisading all the cairns, it's tedious.

It’s not like rebelling would get the rebel any thing. It actually would be hurting both the rebel and the realm. Not sure why it should be hard to be able to not support a group you don’t like.

Maybe the realm holder should either have respect or fear from the residents to get their authority generation.

Have you tried to form a realm with the current mechanics? It's a very difficult thing to do. The current system prevents new factions from forming and becoming relevant, much less important.

A big part of the game is to be able to project power over others in various ways, whether they like it or not. This particular way is still relatively harmless.

Not that I'm saying that warfare mechanics are in any way perfect, but I'm not sure what that has with not giving competing realms authority to do. You don't need to "fight" the other realm in order to found one locally.

You don't need to be relevant and important in order to have a local realm just to avoid giving authority to another one.

Object(s) Required Rock Crystal x5, Bar of Gold x5, Bar of Silver x10, Bar of Any Metal x20, Brimstone x30, Stone x300, A Beautiful Dream! x40

Yeah, just start your own realm if you don't like giving someone else your exp. lmao.
