Please remove the armor from batwing, it sucks to make and gild a new cape every two days because it breaks. its just another boring thing to do before going out into the world. its not going to break the game making a batwing a piece of clothing instead of armor. its not immersive, its not fun, its not engaging in anyway its just tedius and im tired of being punished for playing the game.

I agree, its most annoying. Many people just stop using it because of that.

But it is not the only cape in the game. And it is ugly as fuck. Just use any other cape and you are fine.

If you really want to use the anti-bat properties of it then there should be some downside for it too, don't you think? IMO armor fragility is a nice balance to it.

not really, any character fighting bats/other animals have no use for the antibat properties, and any character not fighting bats have no problems using the same cape forever.

IMO durability is the shitiest mechanic in any game ever created, and even more if you can't repair the damage. either lose the durability aspect of the cape, or make it repairable with batskins or batwings.

So maybe decide already if there is a problem or not? If you are not interested in antibat properties why are you using the bat cape? Because it's so easy to make? That's another reason why it shouldn't last forever.

And honestly, I don't know what are you doing with you bat cape that it's gone in 2 days... The only viable scenario for such situation I could think of is very early world and animal taming. And in that case you are using the cape as armor, its q is shit and it is OK that it breaks.

Exactly. It's good to have different options. There are capes without armor (quite a few) and one with armor. You are free to decide what you want.

If anything I'd say there should be at least one more armor-giving cape. Maybe one of those two-slotters made from a rigid hide should be like bat cape (not making the animal in question to aggro you might be a bit too OP though especially for pack animals)...

will be better if item would not break, but just stays at 0 wear, so it can no longer block any dmg, all other stats working (or maybe not)

and it should then be repairable, this way when you kill your enemy by first killing all its armor, you at least will got some spoils of war (and repair them later)

if you're relaying on batwing for armour its either ridiculos high q or you are doing something wrong. mine are around q36 highest q bats i found yet. have around 3/3 soak and 229 durability, pretty much anything you fight damages the cape, and that damage stacks pretty quickly, one unlucky lagspike and a boar can hit you before you can reduce your oppenings and lag is sadly very common in the hearthlands.

I take off bat cape before I go into combat so it does not break.
