Smoking meat (and fish)

Postby Asgaroth22 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 10:43 pm

Smoking has been one of the most prevalent methods of preserving food since prehistory, it was easy to do, and let's be honest, almost anything smoked tastes great. We have roasting, spitroasting, why not smoking? More food options is always better. One fun idea is to make different types of wood used for smoking apply different bonuses (though after the recent spitroasting affair it may not be so tempting)

Smoking takes a long time though!
Spoiling mechanics should be added before that..

If they add this

I almost die fill all the fish when they added drying.

P.S. Yeah, good idea - maybe smoking whole creature should be a thing.

smoked/dried meats and sausages should be a way to bring game meat up into mid-high tier food, currently everything but pork is low-mid tier

Agreed. I would like to see meat more relevant past kebabs. Could be considered the "cheese" equivalent for meats.

Smoking would be fun, yeah.
