It's time to balance potter clay.

Henlo. Potter clay was too debuffed since w11, so i think it need to be rebalanced a bit.
Let's say there are a standard set of tools everyone, even hermits must collect to stay cool: Kiln, Smelter, Tar kiln, Potter's wheel, 1-2 treeplanters pot.
Currently it is almost impossible to collect enough pit clay, cave clay for this set. And additionally it's almost impossible to collect enough bones for that.

So i think, next things need to be rebalanced:
1. Increase pit clay spawn amount
2. Increase cave clay spawn rate
3. Decrease Bone ash required for bone clay to 2-3 from 5.

Potters clay gets better as the world goes in to late game.

Inceasing pit or cave clay is very bad as it allready holds to low value for trade.

Bone ashe is also not good to change for trade reasons.

-1 as it removes to much value from other sources.

World clay should however be increased via questing as a better reward. This would help bridge the gap and close it as the world goes on.

Would not agree with amount of bones part in regard to bone clay.
On the other hand potter clay being dependent on bone clay and indirectly on pit/cave clay sucks in a number of ways. Not only it nerfed potter clay in to the ground (intended and justified) but also wiped gray clay foraging industry and made ball clay useless.

I propose to add a new recipe for another variant of fine clay made of gray clay. Say it takes 10 gray clay and 10 ball clay to make one piece of the new fine clay and 19 pieces of waste clay, good for wallgrade bricks only. So we can have a replacement for cave/pit clay which will give newbs and hermits something to trade for.

The new fine clay can be called sieved clay and be made while holding a sieve. Sieve is made of 5 steel nuggets and a board. Sieve q is softcap for clay q.
Recipe available to everyone (no credo) so newbs can buy a good sieve and sell ready made fine clay instead of bulk gray clay.

the reason why the value is so low is because the large groups bot it while the hermits dont have the bots... we have several stockpiles of cave/pit clay i dont see any reason why not to increase the spawn of it since people with the bots have more then enough while the hermits are forced to shell out rl cash(to the botters lol) to get the stuff.

Hermits that want bots find or make bots. I'll leave it at that. There's a difference between casual and driven, and it's not whether a person is a hermit or a major faction.

indeed if you want bots make them. nobody is gonna give their hours of coding and effort away for free.
ard client already has a lot of cool bots and its free.
