I think it'd be a cool mechanic if villages could gain thresholds to allow their realm to activate more buffs. The idea being that if a village is powerful/big enough, the claim itself acts like a grotesque idol for the realm and allows the realm to push an additional blessing. This would allow realms to feel more like realms than just a capital city with militia, and it would give these realms more reason to protect the villages within their borders. It could also encourage other realms to fight over some of the bigger villages. Makes it so if an apposing realm defeats a big village in another realms border, the blow is reflected at the buffs themselves and the realms grows (a tad bit) weaker.
Perhaps it could be added so that there is a list of requirements for the village, such as a certain authority cap reached, or a simple timegate. It would want to be set up in a away that villages aren't just spat out everywhere, but be integrated in a way that encourages natural play.
