Wax condensation

Postby dageir » Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:25 am

I have recently come across a problem: I have too much wax. I know it is a useful item, but right now it takes up a lot of space.

How about we could melt the wax into a massive block of wax that would take up less space? It would also ease the trading with wax.

Absolutely! I've suggested this before, and think it's definitely a good idea. While I don't think it should be a liquid, it should definitely be an item that can be broken down into multiple items. Perhaps a 2x2 wax block item that holds 8 pieces of wax, and would have a flower menu option to 'break block' to get 8 pieces?

I'd rather have it behave like a liquid in that case though, and retain the ability to take certain amounts out, with recipes require volumes rather than # of items.

The wax would only be liquid in the melting process (in real life). It would be solid as a block when done. Might want to abstract away the liquid phase though.

Just study wax seal. If you still have the problem then you have too few chars studying and you have incredibly excessive amounts. Can also boil into hleather for future crafting/building of many things. Unnecessary changes are proposed in this thread.

I see no reason to NOT have a method of storing wax that is other than barrel, cupboard, stockpile, etc. "Unnecessary Changes" is a silly argument in this case.

Yes, I can make other Things out of wax to make the ammount smaller. Still there might be occurances where you do not want to make those things. Also blocks of wax made by smelting is a known Method to store bee wax over time instead of having comb laying around in small pieces. It is more hygienic and easier to transport. It could make trading in wax easier aswell.

I see no reason to NOT have a method of storing ANYTHING that is other than barrel, cupboard, stockpile, etc. "Unnecessary Changes" is a silly argument in cases where the original poster has a need for this!!! CONDENSATE EVERYTHING WE HAVE A LOT OF!!!!! Because I'll have you know, this guy on forum sees no reason NOT to do it!!!!! Nice logic mate. Also people unwilling to study wax seals because they're too precious in trade and rather rip off noobs for it or swap for some tokens or something along those lines can just go fuck themselves. But if you do decide to do that, don't come to forum to make shitty suggestions to make your bulk trading easier.

Rub some sticks and build some cupboard.
