Message of the Day for Villages

A short message (256 characters?) that shows up as the first line in Village Chat when you log in. Requires "Territory Management" to edit it.

i see no reason the chat in this game shouldnt get things that almost every other mmo/game with a chat has had forever.

i agree with Granger on that even if you hate us both lol it would annoy me more than anything else to click this shit. not to say some people would probably use it exactly in a way to annoy friends. message board is sufficient because even if it isnt, i rarely see a village recruit people without discord

Discord isn't the future. It's just the app of the day. It's in the same place Skype was in before the Microsoft buyout 5-6 years ago.

I think azrid is right. it's just too damn easy to do this stuff with Discord. And Granger is right. I'd rather post a weekly (or daily) message on the village bulletin board (assuming anyone even bothers with putting one up). Something that multi-lingual villages can access and translate are much easier to use than most of the in-game tools. (I'll say at least we can select-copy-paste chat messages, and more than a few "modern MMOs" don't allow a person to do that.)

That said, it would be a good thing to have for those that wish to use it. I'm just not sure anyone actually would, or it'd be so few it might not be worth the half a day or so to "get it done."
