Improvements to hnh to reduce alts use

Postby loskierek » Tue May 14, 2019 10:14 am

So i thought we should make a mega thread with our ideas on how to reduce the number of alts we are using to efficiently play and give a reasonable solution to the issue. ( inb4 delet dis grab bag )

- bees, currently each and every farmer in this game has to own a honey alt which is a major pain in the bum. The way bee stings scale should be considered and greatly reduced to minimise the dmg received. It is absurd that we take more hhp hits from getting honey than from fighting a bear with a sword and a shield.

-
- certain animal wounds, as we all know getting crabs, hedgehogs, seals and walruses is a major pain in the back right now and u NEED an alt to not get too many wounds.I can see several ways it could be countered.
Solution for crabs would be to get a tree action window pop up while right clicking giving us an option to pick them up or "impale" with a boar spear virtually stopping the damage received.
for hedgehugs the initial pick up damage i think shoulnt be avoidable ( pretty sure this can be bypassed by riding over them on horse anyway ) as for butchering how about adding a tool for skinning ala scalpel which would be a precision tool for skinning and would stop damage from hedhehugs while also giving a chance for extra resource output from larger animals.
Seals and Walruses could be countered by crafting a pair of really big gloves covering whole arm using hide from big animals ( because of its thickness ) which would have durability like armor and any time they stop u from getting seal finger that durability drops.

Feel free to add a comment with more of ur ideas i will be editing this post to keep up to date

Beestings:
- "Farmer" credo should deal with these, reducing the chance/mitigatimg the damage/increasing heal rate greatly;
- "Beekeeper's hat" - crafted with straw, strings etc; has durability that is spent to counter Beestings wounds;

Crabs, hedgehogs, seals, even stinging nettle - basically whatever wounds you get from grabbing things with your hands:
- You got it right. Cloth/leather gloves. Durability. Spent to counter those.

They won't change it. I liked how many things started to go into the way of "no more need for alts" and then... this happened.
