Why not?
Current system gives advantage to people who have bots that can farm crops 24/7 to maximize the rng from crops.
Noobs without bots will be far behind!

Wild speculation: It's not worth talking about because when seasons are implemented all crops will die seasonally, and either everybody will begin again from scratch on a seasonal basis, or WWWs will have a chance of being roughly equal quality to the world's best seeds from the previous season.


For real tho, having a village big enough to circumvent grouped quality increases is ugly and I hate it. I've never met a person who's interacted with the current system beyond a trivial amount who doesn't hate it, and there's no contention that fixes like OP would not be invasive.

He should care.
Devs have made lots of changes to make farming easier for people without bots. But its all for nothing, if they don't change the crop ql increase mechanic.

oh no, I can not replant my seeds and Im too dumb to store them in some container! what will I do now?

the value should be constant because the more rewards are rng based the more unfair it is
