1) The attacker creates a "dolmen of war" opposite the village of the defenders. A dolmen must require a very large amount of resources to build to eliminate spam and protect newbies.
2)Those who defend within 24 hours choose the day and time of the “siege” within a few days or maybe one week. This will allow the defenders to prepare well for repelling the attack and they will not be caught in the ranks outside their prime time. If the defenders do not choose the day and the time of the siege will begin exactly 24 hours after the installation of the "dolmen of war".
3)The siege lasts 2 hours at the moment of which all the buildings of the village can receive damage directly proportional to the weapon with which they are destroyed (sledgehammer, ram, catapult).
4)After two hours of the siege, the buildings again cease to be destructible.
5)The only problem is that the defenders can hide the loot in inactive characters or take everything to another village before the siege begins. It may be worth doing something like a “besieged” buff that appears on all the objects of the village under siege and which does not allow the character to go to Inactivate with such items in the inventory. Also items with such a debuff cannot leave the village until the end of the siege.
This system will make the siege more arcade and generally viable, at the same time, sprucecaps will be protected by expensive dolmen construction and the defenders will have the privileges to choose the siege time and preparation time. If you use the principle of this system, I am sure that it will bring more joy to this world, because now everyone is unhappy with the monstrous time required for the siege of villages.
