what if Quality was tied to Characters?

Suggestion: make farming products quality tied to character. You raised those products for a year, only you know how to do it.

Pros:
- food products could be more valuable, since qualities are not easily transferred
- constant market for subproducts
- procs with current farming node mechanic
- character becomes more valuable
- farmers can be hired for their services?
- same mechanics could be used in other industries

Cons:
- you tell me

catching up is a nice meme, nobody comes back to "catch up" in this game, it's why population declines linearly every world

associating quality to character could create real value and specialization

In a way it is already ... i wouldn't let my key alt touch my carrots ;)

I guess the back idea of yours is you want more specialisation (and thus more diversity in playstyles) ? ... what i think is a nice idea but honestly with the ability to script it won't change much ... you raise skills and do certain things often to push q ... if your char is you manually or a script doesn't matter both ways ... sadly

The current system is the way it is for a reason. I, with my 50 farming, can go harvest the flax, and quality isn't affected, just quantities. The burden for farming can be spread around a bit more.

Worth noting: the "old system" of just a couple years ago softcapped the crops by the farmer's skill. It was a request to go to the current system by many players, and I think we're better for it. Get a new person join the village to help with farming? the world is a year old and that's going to be a month to two months of hard curio (and quest) grinding to get the farming skill necessary for them to join in on the farming. Guess what? They've burned out on the game already because they didn't really get to do what they wanted to.
