Experience event quests "don't trigger"

Postby Leny » Sun Jun 02, 2019 5:32 pm

I've been trying to trigger bat guano XP event for a quest for 3+ weeks now. Can't seem to find anything to reset it. Same goes for my other local resource events. Am I bugged? Shouldn't they reset on their own after a while?

I know that I can just skip the bad quests but I'd like to understand the craziness behind the XP event system. Any insights would be nice. And yeah I know that Jorb mentioned they shouldn't be easy to trigger. But 3+ weeks of trying and the feeling that something's wrong is the only thing trigger, me that is :))

I've kind of been around for a while now but with more and more new players being introduced into the game I can't really imagine how they feel when dealing with this stuff.

I'll try to keep the quest for the fun of it even though it seems to be blocking my XP gains. I'm curios if I can find a way to trigger it (even thought about dying :D ).
Everytime I find something that doesn't make sense I can almost see Jorb grinning and mumbling to himself: "working as intended."

AFAIK (don't take it as guarantee) as my own observation goes, You need to trigger some (a lot) of experience events + there is a timer when a particular experience event resets + there's a chance it will trigger, not 100% it will trigger the next time You want it to happen.

So in summary:
1. Trigger all experience events You know / can think off You didn't recently triggered
2. Give it at least 18 hours (best 24hours) to reset. I know a lot You experiences, You can trigger daily
3. If it's a spammable action, try to spam it. For example picking up table and dropping it down.

It's normal, things are on both a cooldown and a sequence.

Whenever quest has "experience" task and it doesn't trigger the moment you try it, just ababdon. Never worth waiting for.

Just an update - the XP event still haven't reset. It's been 6 weeks now. Maybe it requires forced reset.

And yeah, I totally agree with skipping all of the XP event quests unless you can trigger them immediately. Been doing that... till I kind of grew tired of the weird feeling I get whenever I try to dodge some bad game mechanic.

I don't find this feature fun or interesting, more like a bug or an unfinished implementation.

Sequence is also a thing. Like you need to trigger some other xp events before triggering this one upon seeing it, once the guano itself is not on cool down anymore.

But yeah agreed entirely this is just the game griefing you and adds nothing meaningful whatsoever, this should be reconsidered.

2 months passed and I need to finish the credo to move onto another one. Still haven't figured out how to reset the event. I feel sad.

Skip!

The system is intentionally obscure. Leave it be if you're fine just waiting and praying, otherwise I'd roll a new quest.
