Totem poles

It would be cool if we could make totem poles out of logs

Carve up the log like you would with a dugout canoe and then use rope on them to "raise" the pole

The poles could use variable wood colour and perhaps we could use pigments on them for slightly randomized results?

How about no?

This is a game set in pre-medieval Northern/eastern Europe.

It would be cool if we could use a paint sketch on animal skeletons and have it be like a "guide" for carving their skulls, like maybe each log has 3 slots and when you carve a totem poll you get a GUI to place 3 paint sketches with these learned skulls on them inside and then begin the crafting process from there. This could also be a fun thing to make statues from boulders with.

+1 ... we have the totem hat now so it would be an opportunity to wear it as we light a fire and dance around the totem pole ... :D
