Remove frying pan discovery requirement

Many people are confused why they cannot make many foods anymore.
And the situation will not change.
Adding frying pan as a required discovery for all frying pan recipes causes in most people getting confused, and some people not using those recipes at all, because they cannot find them.

+1, was always strange for me.
Why you need be able to make pan by yourself, to use it? What if i just bought it?
Why you need to know how to construct loom, to be able make cloth?
Why dont you need to know computer and processor architecture before turn on you computer?

Overall, the discovery system is pretty terrible, especially when your character dies. After that it is very tedious to get all the discoveries again. With the game growing bigger and bigger, I think that the discovery mechanics should be somewhat re-thought thru.

Perhaps instead of wasting time making bad suggestions you should spend time teaching all these people who you apparently speak for where to find the appropriate information so they can stay properly informed.

This would be fine if you could "discover" frying pan by simply right-clicking it. Maybe "examine" or something.

At best, this is a "is it an MMO" or "is it a single player game" argument. Tools have been implemented to allow for discoveries of items you don't make yourself, so I'd say the issue is effectively resolved. Use the tools you have at hand if you don't need to make a frying pan yourself.

Otherwise, the same argument applies for the entire discovery system in the game. I remember when we didn't have it, and either way is just fine with me.

Most of the player base probably don't read update threads, ESPECIALLY the ones that get posted when they are not playing.

Its just a stupid mechanic that causes confusion for many, without really bringing anything into the game!

They reset when you die also, which is most annoying.
But the major issue is that noobs get confused.
Of course old people like you dont see it as a problematic mechanic, even though it is one.
