steel gauntlet immunity

When wearing steel gauntlets picking up and butchering hedgehogs and crabs should be risk free. this would still be offset by the fact that steel is a top tier material and is generally inaccessible to noobs, besides, from a realist perspective, whats the chance of a quill punching through a steal glove? how about the odds of a crab pinching your finger through it?

Sure but multiply the damage it would have given by like 5 and apply that as wear to the gloves rather than it never destroying.

I could live with that but i still think the x5 multiplier is too high.... maybe x2

As a btw you can skip two damage steps by killing it in combat or running it over with a horse.

Aren't gauntlets normally leather on the underside, since it's made for holding your own weapon while guarding against others?
