would be nice to see chickens walking around like we see other tamed animals

maybe a chicken fence could be built around coop or make the coop spawn some chickens around

Having the coop reflect the contained animals/items around it for visuals would be nice: roosters welcoming the sun in the morning, being able to see if there are chicks and eggs inside.

Might be tough FPS wise for the ones that want to factorio golden eggs, but it's their fault for transplanting play style from one game to an incompatible one.

add a checkbox "keep doors open" in the coop interface

so now you can build a fence around or just let them run free to be walked over by horses

Noone "factorio golden eggs" it's only in your big bad faction fantasies you Granger the stick rubber.

It think it would be nicer too but not worth changing until (if?) This client rendering rewrite ever comes up and things hopefully become bearable FPS wise.


Oh and also you should still be able to have some overview such as coop to make it bearable to sort them rather than picking up individually for raising q because that sounds incredibly tedious

I'd like some chickens walking around for atmosphere, but haven't been able to think of a good way of accomplishing that. Don't like a special fence for this particular litte thing.

Have the building project a virtual fence onto them, let them leave at random while the sun is up and retreat to the coop at sunset or should predators (foxes, wolves) wander into the base?
