Item recipes

Display all the item recipes even if the required skill or items were not acquired/learnt, and display in a tooltip which skill is required.
A new player would be able to see what the game has to offer without using wiki.

Unavailable recipes could be grayed out or put in a different menu.

Do other games show every crafting recipe, even unavailable ones from items you haven't discovered or levels you haven't acquired yet? I can't think of any instance of this off the top of my head. I think this is precisely what wikis are for, spoiling the contents of a game for people who are interested in doing so. Why would you want devs to waste time on this when literally 100% of this information is available online already?

The point is other games don't require as much time to unlock something as Haven does, inexperienced players might spend few weeks to reach something which you would in few days, but its still more than few hours. I understand that other games don't show their recipes, but mostly in these games all of the recipes are unlocked in several hours of gameplay.
This idea is aimed at the new people, rather than regulars and it does not require an outside source for game knowledge.

@Edit: Also imagine if all these people would've stopped asking if they are required to study a frying pan to cook something!

I can understand catering to new players, but there is literally no other mmorpg in the entire world that does this, and I don't think you are correct about all content being unlocked in other games after a few hours. Something as simple as a tooltip or a popup in chat that reminds players that more information can be found in the wiki, or a chat reminder or popup when a new update happens would completely suffice. The people making the 20th thread in a month about why they can't cook frying pan recipes anymore are just lazy and stupid and don't deserve to be catered to.

Not sure I quite see the point, tbt. You'll want to have all the skills eventually, and that recipes can be hidden behind them should become obvious pretty fast.

Apparently it's not so obvious that a chef has to create his own frying pan in order to be able to cook with it.
With this for example you could see the listed first aid items in wounds menu, and be able to tell what do they require to unlock them within the game.
The point is mostly QoL, goal setting and to explain "what item do I need to study, to craft X item" without the need to use (300player-ish) community driven wiki, that could be outdated or wrong in its articles.

Is that all this is about? The chef won't see the frying pan recipes if he doesn't know frying pan, so there's that too.

IMO, the problem has already been resolved with being able to make material accounts. Several people are just having their moment of irritability because of this mid-world bug fix.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
