Yes, but it would need a separate purpose from salt basins.

Probably something along the lines of how truffling food works.

Instead of just a flat reduction of your current hunger modifier, you could salt food for a reduction of that pieces hunger %.

But even after salt was "buffed" it's still relatively useless when you take into account questing is just way better for keeping your hunger at 300%

Craftable salt in any form would just be another additional to the plethora of stat inflation factors and would just become another "mandatory" task to keep up with the status quo similar to questing, pepper, and truffles
