Achieving skills by quests

Postby Fostik » Sat Sep 07, 2019 11:31 am

I've thought about newbies and how they will join to the game, and my idea was to create a mechanic when you will be able to get skills not for lp, but for completing quests.
For example - raise masonry or get some clay for potter, receive some seeds for farming, enter house for yeomanry, etc.

The main target of them is introduce some mechanics of certain skill, and show player what is this skill for.
Moreover it shall save newbies from wasting all LP to get skills, that will unlock main part of game mechanics.

How will it work?
Same as credos. You just pursue some skill, for small price of lp\exp, or minimal required attributes value. Then you receive some amount of quests, which depends on hardness of this skill.

I think it'd be neat tbh; the quests after each skill could be used to guide people towards what early things they should be doing (tar kilns, a house, palisades, etc)
