It may be pretty illegant solution for forage questing in winter/spring, if said natural wonder - geyser would have a zone around it with "summer-all-the-year", so it won't be affected by seasons and would have spawning areas for foragebles unaviable in other zones due to current season. Also would provide more reasons to keep an eye on said local res.
Have you ever been to iceland? Lots of geysers but still lots of snow during winters!

I think realistically this is a bad idea since the area around a geyser would be rendered pretty infertile, but an additional local resource like a simple "hot springs" could add something fun and interesting like this for sure.

Well, I was picking Geyser mostly to minimize the devs work, but surely it would be better to have something new.
We already have springs in mountains, it makes sense to have places where the water pools in the valleys and biomes around them. It could even just be its own tiny biome that includes some small shallow water pool with Spring Water, or some new Mineral Water thing. Bathing in this water shallows can even act as some kind of alternative to yarrow for some wounds.
