Alternative cure for Something Broken.

Considering that splints could be used to stabilize fractures, couldn't we use boards and gauze to make a splint?.

This wouldn't replace camomile compresses as I intend it to be a low-tech and slower alternative. It would debuff agility and dexterity, and take longer than a compress to treat the wound.
