Hi.

When we change our presentation name, it does not change it for others who have us kinned, but only new kins and rekins.

I suggest, because if it were not that way it would be confusing, that we instead have it immediately change, keep all kin colors and shit, but have a very clear and obvious list of former names, aliases and presentation names.

As well as the ability to tag a kin with a note. Not sure if we have that. Probably do.

I am tired of having an emoji for a name.

I like it, although I'd prefer a list of aliases rather than instantly changing their name.

I doubt he meant that the old names stack on their current name, more like the ability to look at a kin's old names.

Maybe if this was limited to names used during past week or some timeframe like that? Would alleviate confusion when you suddenly have villager of completely new name when you haven't recruited anybody?

still if i know you under name X this would be stupid you suddenly becomes Y and it would make a lot of confusion and against the spirit of the game where you always given a chance to change somebodys name yourself and just for yourself. not suddenly changing your name for everyone. it would make it only harder to recognize for people if a lot keeps changing and there is a lot of people who change daily or depending on the realm they visit.

Pretty sure the Steam client does this. Have one guy (from here or another game... I forget) on my friends list there that changes their handle every few months. I think at most three or so of the previous names show up as aliases. (Note: I'd have to double check on the rules, but it appears there is a limit on how long the aliases show up, either by number or time.) There's no reason we can't have this here (and avoid the potential for trolling).

Yes, I was thinking of something like the steam system tbh.

Your nickname overrides their name (but you can see their displayed name if you want). Their displayed name changes when they change it, but you can always 'recall old names' and check a list of other names they went by (that you know of).

it is about you not getting my answer to your concept. i dont wanna let player B and A knowing im the same person. if they can see my previous allies then whats the point of changing my name? i want to be able to kept being anon to all the players i want to be anon without my previous / next aliases being visible.

you can argue with me that this can be achieved by A sharing description to B and vice versa but rarely anybody does than and i like that as hell. just stop being and dont change your name just because you want to have few more emojis or not. i also want to have the names i gave people if, instead of them changing alias of what is visible.
