snow, forageables, digging

It would be nice to have a chance of finding forageables from under the snow when you dig.
If not all, at least mushrooms.
It is common knowledge that you can forage many mushrooms RL even during winter, if you know the spots that they grew on the last autumn, you can dig to find some that were left under the snow.

Not bad. Maybe it could be snapped off icicles or frozen critters.

My mother told me Someday I would buy
Galley with good oars Sail to distant shores
Stand up high in the prow Noble barque I steer
Steady course for the haven Hew many foe-men,

Don't you think the suggestion of frozen piss is a bit different from an actual curio in the snow?

Not a bad idea. Not the frozen piss but other stuff.
