Hiring new devs?

Have the devs considered hiring new people to make developing the game faster? It's been nearly two years since they started working on the client rendering rewrite.

but you can explain something to 10 people at the same time! and then have them teach the rest!

Asked this question on stream once, as Jorb said, he is not against it, but it should be people they know.
IMO dev team will never raise, the only question is only how long devs will be interested in project.

Speaking of adding new devs, what happens if one of them is removed? Freak accident renders one dead or otherwise to where they couldn't dev the game anymore. What would happen?

Its not as if they don't know anyone else, or other developers. Jorbs working with another team on a different game, and I'm sure that generates some contacts.

Jorbtar have been interested in it for a decade, so their interest probably won't just die off.

With 2 devs its enough for one of them to lose their interest or ability to make games. and the game is dead, so on long term (or with bad luck short term) there is a problem with having only 2 devs.
