Is there any particular reason why can't we have additional information on everything about who took part/created something? Like a brand mark.
For example, if you create something, it can be either automatically, or with help of some tools/actions (but only if you created it) be branded as yours, but only if you toggle "branding" on. Information should be stored anyway, but if branding wasn't on it will be shown only to devs. If the object was branded, it can be checked with some "observe origins" action. It can even require magnifying glass to function (won't be consumed).
When something is built, be it house, wheelbarrow or a boat, it will contain the names of people who created it, up to 3 people who applied most of needed items to construction sign, for example.
It will be quite cool to have this feature! First of all, it might help devs in some situations. Then, it will be cool having top q items on market made by some famous blacksmith, or seeds, collected by some "best farmer in the game". People will be able to define if the equipment they lost in battle some time ago and now got back is the very same they made.
Why togglable "braning" button?
So people won't be able to memorize other character names by just observing any item they can. It will be really bad idea for pvp. So I mainly suggest this for devs usage and for roleplay/dicking around.
I remember when something similar was introduced into Rust. It was buggly like hell, and was removed (because there all people who were involved to object were displayed, and if someone crafted an axe and gave it away to some noob, everything made by that noob afterwards was "partly" owned by said someone, therefore giving them exp for every giving-exp action made with anything that was 0.00001% made from wood chopped by that noob with axe. I suggest only 1 master for items and up to 3 for boats and other objects, and it doesn't involve any gain like in rust, so it shouldn't be a problem.) but while it lasted, I liked the feature a lot.
So, what's your thoughts/suggestions about it?
