Jorb & Loftar: Heavy botting is usually a symptom of bad game mechanics

Also Jorb and Loftar: Haha dig every tile of farmland in your quality patch every month you subhuman sprucecap

There definitely needs to be way to AoE remove snow like you can destroy vines. Just implementing that shift+dig on snow tile makes Hearthling dig one random adjacent tile would probably be much better than current system where you need to click every single tile.

I'm a miner. I just go until I run out of energy (no food left to eat). But yeah, I feel for you. Carpal tunnel, tendonitis, arthritis... makes repetitive clicking a pain... literally.

I think the issue here is snow isn't really an interactive mechanic. Maybe if there were more incentives to shovelling snow mid Winter?

Stuff like snow piling on buildings, and if you don't clear the snow it deals damage to frail objects. Probably breaking any uncleared trellises. Maybe if you don't clear the snow around your walls the pile will eventually get big enough that people can sled over them like big ramps?

a few suggestion that could help, mulching keeps the ground insulated and warm in climates that get very little snow, maybe some kind of compost/mulch mixture can be strewn on plowed tiles that can prevent snow from accumulating on them during the winter

and/or some type of long-burning brazier that has a large radius and does the same?

or maybe... just maybe... the snow tiles should make fields not useable at all? like there would be stomped earth below snow... so you need to plow the area every year (just as real-life) but plowing would also remove snow

This sounds like the type of trade off that keeps things balanced or whatever. I would not mind being able to mass remove snow but then have to replow. totally makes it worth it and makes sense.

git outtta here with your sensible ideas bullshit! - haters probably.
