Credos => Milestones

As credos are so unpleasant to the community maybe they could be slightly changed?

Remove credos tree and full-credo-complete requirements and add them as 1 level at time. Let it work more like professional milestones.

So once character achieves some level of development (stats-skills) in some sort of profession - there opens the ability to pursue 1st level of specific credo with some amount of quests (2 for level 1, 4 for level 2,...10 for level 5).

Example (numbers are subjects to change):
once char has 25 in farming - there opens the 1lvl of Farmer's Credo with the cost of 2000 LP and 2 quests to complete. After completing these quests the lvl 1 perk is activated and will be always with char. After that, the character is free to work on lvl 2 farming credo (after reaching 50 in farming) for 4000 LP with 4 quests or on lvl 1 Forager (15 in surv and 15 in exploration) for 2000 LP with 2 quests.

The system needs the rework of plain bonuses as rewards of course, but if implemented, it will provide more flexibility in doing credos and won't force players to finish full credo when they need only a first or second bonus but not ready for fourth or fifth. Also, it can somehow remove the mandatory of credos for pvpers as the stats-skills requirements will make credos imposible to do on a character without related stats. (yes, "it will just force them to have these stats", but well, if your fighter has 300 farming and have replanted a bunch of fields - maybe he's just good farmer?)

Stat dependencies is a little bit incompatible with death mechanics, and inheritance, same as hardcoded values incompatible with devs vision on game design and automation/scalability of hardness.
But in general, i like this idea

i had a somewhat similar idea. since i am trying to be a good user i used the search function and will just add it to this thread.

i had an idea how credos could be implemented in a maybe more compelling fashion:
everytime you chop a tree und get a "lumberjack knowledge point" everytime you plant s.th you get a gardening or farmer point. you could do the same for mining, cutting stones, studying curios, hunting animals, crafting different types of stuff, etc. this way you naturally accumulate knowledge in the skills your character exercises. then if you want to get a credo (say farming level 1) you have to invest 100 farming knowledge points to unlock one tough quest that will upon completing give you the whole first chapter of the farmer credo. farmer lvl two would then cost 200 points and advanced credos could also cost combinations of multiple points to unlock the quest. this system would be less grindy and the credos would be unlocked in a more natural way while playing and be more fitting to what you character actually does. with the one though quest it would still give the players a sense of achievement and maybe these quests can be designed in a that makes solving them using bots a bit more complicated. the biggest weakness of such a credo system would imo certainly be the fact that it can, in general, be more easily exploited by people using bots. but since these are a plague anyway i do not see much workaround.
