loosen up the forum rules

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

loosen up the forum rules

I think calling someone an idiot isn't a good reason to receive a warning. In game we can call each other all kind of things, so why not on the forum?

Can we bring back shit talking please?

Isn't the general rule of thumb that you have to be polite outside the moot? I thought the point of the moot was for shit talking.

The rules are already pretty lax.

Granger had a big issue with this, but he's not a moderator anymore. I think it was always a point of contention, so nothing new here. Personally, I think if all you can do is resort to posting "you're an idiot," than maybe you shouldn't post low quality spam and/or trolls. Generally, and I'll speak for myself here, I'm not going to ban anyone for it, but I'm not going to ignore it outside of the The Moot or The Inn. I did issue one warning for it recently as it involved a new player that clearly didn't know the mechanics of the game or what was possible after X hours of play time.

I don't mind an ad hominem or two as a part of a healthy debate, but there is a point where that degenerates into nothing.
