Moving improvement

Downhill, you should walk faster.
Uphill, you should walk slower.
When you turn, the turn should not be instant, instead, your character should stop, turn, and then start moving to the direction.

Maybe the changes above should be implemented only for boats, or may for hearthlings too.

This stuff is hard to implement with current movement system, it could create many bugs. However, I agree, would make game feel more professional, look less clunky and overall more fun.

This would feel incredible clunky, multiplied even more so by ping

Yes. It slows you down when you are going up a steep incline.

It wouldn't, look at starcraft, do movement feel smooth or clunky? It has everything there, velocity, acceleration, angular velocity, angular accrelation and it feels good.

Dota has turn times and feels incredibly clunky, the only reason it doesn't in starcraft is because you're controlling many many units at once and bouncing back and forth between 100 other tasks

I wish, I have over 1000 hours on dota and it still feels clunky to me, especially on ping more than 60
