Midges get rid of the most useless thing in the game

WHY for the love of god would you add these things back or even fix the issue with them not spawning, i dont live near a swamp or bog etc and yet i have 2-3 midges swarms in my area that following me for ages on end with no way of stopping them and they deal hard hp dmg, it makes me not want to play, im never able to be at full hp when i play due to the unrelenting stupid fucking mechanic of midges,

take them out for the love of god, or make them an attackable target or at least give us a way of negating there effects

They weren't added back, it's mid summer now and they're most active at this time of year.

well they need to just be removed, can anyone honestly say they think there a worth while game item and serve a purpose, no i dont think anyone can say they do

i don't find them as annoying as a lot of people seem to, but I don't see why bee swarms are target-able and not midges. or maybe carrying a torch could make them ignore you?

Midges are more annoying in real life than they are in the game. I say we buff their damage and speed, and spawn them in groups of 5-10 swarms.

I lived next to a swamp last world. I want more of that immersive gameplay. Anyone who is complaining now doesn't know what it was like to live in heaven.
